Sonata Arctica can look back on a historic career. They became known as Finnish power metal pioneers, tireless touring powerhouses, and advocates of sublime melodies. However, they are primarily known as musicians who showcase the magic and enchantment that emanates from heavy metal. Since their formation in 1995, they embody the outstanding skill and serenity of the Nordic nature and have enchanted the world with ten Albums, EPs, and countless tours.

'Clear Cold Beyond' is certainly the most uncompromising Sonata Arctica Album to date, a spectacular revival of lightning-fast power metal. 'For some time now, we've had the feeling that after a few softer Albums, we needed to get harder again,' says Tony.

Once again produced by Mikko Karmila, a key figure from their early days, 'Clear Cold Beyond' sounds massive, heavy, and hungry, paying homage to the band's early works. The magic of that time is back - now performed by masters of their genre who bring no less than 25 years of playing experience.
