Fairies wear boots | SINGOLO | Zakk Sabbath

With the 7' single 'Fairies Wear Boots' (green Vinyl), ZAKK SABBATH is giving a first taste of their second full-length album, planned to be released in early 2024.

This amusing classic of Heavy Metal was originally released in 1970 as the last track on BLACK SABBATH's second album, 'Paranoid.' ZAKK SABBATH was born out of pure passion and love for music. The guitarist, singer, and leader of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, Zakk Wylde, who also made a name for himself as a longtime lead guitarist for OZZY OSBOURNE and now also PANTERA, founded the band as a tribute to the 'inventors' of Heavy Metal : BLACK SABBATH.

Initially, ZAKK SABBATH only performed live shows with changing lineups until their 12' EP 'Live in Detroit' was released in 2017. Inspired by the 50th anniversary of BLACK SABBATH's self-titled debut album, which was appropriately released on Friday the 13th in 1970, the now stable lineup with Zakk, OZZY OSBOURNE and ROB ZOMBIE bassist Blasko, and Joey Castillo on drums (DANZIG, QUEEN OF THE STONE AGE) entered the studio to pay proper tribute to that album, whose songs have had a decisive influence on the history of music. A year later, the ZAKK SABBATH debut was released, featuring all the songs from the monumental BLACK SABBATH milestone, titled 'Vertigo' (2020), with an allusion to the legendary Vertigo Records label of the Birmingham foursome. 'Vertigo' was showered with praise by critics and fans alike. The trio's debut became a global success, as evidenced by impressive chart positions: 'Vertigo' climbed to number 5 on the US Hard Music Charts, also reaching number 7 on the Current Rock Albums Charts and number 27 on the Billboard Top Albums Charts. Abroad, the tribute record even captured the number 1 spot on the Metal Albums Charts in France, as well as reaching number 3 on the German Album Charts and number 9 on the UK Top 40 Rock/Metal Charts. With 'Fairies Wear Boots,' ZAKK SABBATH now pays further homage to the legendary metal band from Birmingham. To be continued!
