Italian progressive metal masters DGM will release their long-awaited 11th studio album 'Life' in November. It follows their acclaimed album 'Tragic Separation' from 2020. 'Life' is the result of two years of work, during which the band's frontman Simone Mularoni wrote a wealth of musical material from which the songs for 'Life' were selected. The songs clearly demonstrate the desire to push the band beyond their previous boundaries and develop their own identity and approach. Truly, no small feat considering the band's catalog! All the characteristic elements of DGM's sound can be found in this new album, with captivating choruses, technical passages, lightning-fast riffing, powerful vocals, and bombastic transitions. However, the care and dedication in songwriting is evident in phenomenal songs that carefully encompass everything from Symphony X to a more classic hard rock sound. The playing is, as always, flawless, and the melodies are perfectly woven into the killer guitars, epic keyboards, and pounding drums. The lineup is more cohesive and tight-knit than ever before, but a special mention, alongside Mularoni's pyrotechnic guitar playing, goes to vocalist Mark Basile, who truly masters the musical material like a helmsman on a stormy night.
