Chelsea Wolfe is 'back, and masterful as always' (Revolver). On February 9th, she released 'She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She'. Wolfe's seventh studio album is a rebirth in process. It is a powerful, cathartic statement about separating ties and an important reminder that healing is a cyclical, not linear, process.
Wolfe, referred to as the 'queen of gothic-industrial guitar' by Guitar World, has never been afraid to cross genres or create her own hybrid forms. She wrote and produced She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She with her long-time collaborators, multi-instrumentalist Ben Chisholm, drummer Jess Gowrie, and guitarist Bryan Tulao, before bringing them to producer Dave Andrew Sitek at the beginning of 2022.
The tracks found their final focus with Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs, SZA, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), who mixed the album, extracted the fine details from the vocals, and incorporated them into the lush sonic world of the production, where heavy guitars dissolve into trip-hop breaks and muted vocals rise, before being mastered by renowned engineer Heba Kadry.
