In occasione del cinquantesimo anniversario degli Scorpions, “Taken by Force” è stato pubblicato in vinile rimasterizzato e include un CD con 6 bonus track.
È stato l'ultimo album in studio con Uli Jon Roth e il primo con il nuovo batterista Hermann Rarebell. Il nuovo componente del gruppo ha anche scritto i testi e ha aiutato con “He's A Woman - She's A Man”. L'LP include numerosi classici. La ballata “Born to Touch Your Feelings” mostra il lato romantico degli Scorpions ed è il brano che li ha resi i “Master of Ballads” negli anni. Nonostante le differenze musicali fra Uli John Roth e gli altri membri della band, “Taken by Force” è un album affascinante, senza difetti. È l'apice dell'era di Uli Roth e influenzerà senza dubbio la musica heavy metal del futuro.
