The band is strongly rooted in black metal in terms of sound, but they incorporate additional elements of extreme metal into their songs to open them up for a intense dose of atmosphere and melodies, while acoustic guitars create elegant bridges between the extreme boundaries. While songs like 'Arrow Of Time' or 'Lost In Transience' have almost epic moments, 'Apostasy' and 'Feed Upon Their Flesh' take a blast-beat-heavy approach. In contrast, 'We Shall Serve' has strong grooving elements. And the conclusion 'You' evolves from an experimental beginning to an ultra-melodic monster before ending in a grand finale that will make you nod your head.
