On to the hellish metal fun: After their previous four successful albums 'The Unity' (2017), 'Rise' (2018), 'Pride' (2020), and 'The Devil You Know - Live' (2021), European Tours as headliners or supporting bands such as Sinner, Edguy, Axel Rudi Pell, or Rhapsody Of Fire, triumphant shows at 'Masters Of Rock', 'Knockout-Festival', or at 'Bang Your Head', The Unity showcase themselves on their fifth release 'The Hellish Joyride' as playful and diverse as never before. 'We have always had a broad stylistic range, but with 'The Hellish Joyride' we push the boundaries of melodic power metal even further,' explains Michael Ehré, referring to the twelve varied songs on the album, ranging from fast-paced to ballad-like. In addition, newcomer Tobias 'Eggi' Exxel (bass, Edguy) has brought fresh energy to the band and audibly strengthens Gamma Ray members Henjo Richter (guitar) and Michael Ehré (drums), singer Gianba Manenti, guitarist Stef, and keyboardist Sascha Onnen. The new record will be released on August 25, 2023, via Steamhammer/SPV, and the European Tour with Primal Fear will start just one week later. The first single including a 'sporty' music video, 'Always Two Ways To Play', will be released on July 14, 2023, followed by the second release 'Saints And Sinners' five weeks later. The joyride can begin!
