Santa Muerte', the fifth album by the Broilers, was released in 2011. With this album, the band from Düsseldorf made the leap from underground to the top tier of German rock acts, and it was also their first record to receive a gold certification. It included songs that have since become classics in the Broilers' repertoire, such as 'Tanzt du noch einmal mit mir?' (Will you dance with me again?), '33 RPM', 'Harter Weg (Go!)' (Hard Way (Go!)), and 'Wie weit wir gehen' (How Far We'll Go). 'Santa Muerte' drew from the experiences of more than half a lifetime that the musicians had already spent in their band, as well as a variety of influences that made their sound and lyrics a unique occurrence in Germany. Seventeen years after the band's formation, this album marked the definitive finding of their distinctive sound - a raw, melodic blend of punk rock, rockabilly, soul, and ska - which would go on to win the hearts of hundreds of thousands of fans in the years to come.

Though 'Santa Muerte' was originally only released in a tiny Vinyl edition, which now commands exorbitant prices, this landmark album for the band will finally be reissued on Vinyl on November 24, 2023, in response to numerous requests.
