Il successore di "At The Edge Of The Time" (2010) è stato prodotto da Charlie Bauerfeind (SAXON; HAMMERFALL). I Blind Guardian hanno lavorato con tre differenti cori classici, ed hanno assunto anche 2 intere orchestre, ognuna composta da 90 musicisti. Dal punto di vista storico" Beyond The Red Mirror" èil seguito dell'album "Imaginations from the other side" - l'ascoltatore sprofonderà ancora una volta in un mondo fantasy segreto.
La fantastica copertina è stata sempre creata da Felipe Machado, un amico della band.
