Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to present the upcoming debut album SOLEDRIVER (Sweet / Del Vecchio), which represents a collaboration between two extremely talented and productive songwriters, musicians, and producers, Michael Sweet (Stryper, Iconic, Sweet & Lynch) and Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge of Forever, Hardline, Jorn). With 'Soul Inside,' these two incredible talents have joined forces to produce a killer melodic rock album that only they could create.

In their studio work, Sweet and Del Vecchio share a common vision of highly detailed productions, and both love crystal-clear arrangements. But they never forget the power that a rock album must have, and so 'Soul Inside' showcases great, powerful performances, but nothing overwhelms the vocals and the beauty of the melodies. To put it simply, the album is melodic rock in the style of Journey and Foreigner, but on steroids and with the unique sonic stamp of Sweet and Del Vecchio.

'In my heart, I have always been a metalhead, but as much as I love metal, I also love the melodic and song-oriented side of music. Songs that move you and touch your soul. So many bands from the '70s/'80s did just that. I am proud to say that alongside Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, I have also listened to Loverboy, Toto, Foreigner, Survivor, Journey, and many others. That's what has made me who I am today. Diversity. That's why I have always wanted to make an album that takes you back to that time, and here it is,' says Sweet.

'The collaboration with Alessandro Del Vecchio was an absolute pleasure, and he is an incredible talent. We worked together to record and produce an album that we are both very proud of. Every song has something powerful to say and makes its own musical and lyrical statement. I couldn't be more excited about this release, and I am blessed to be able to work with a company (Frontiers) that allows me to follow my dreams and capture them,' adds Sweet.

'It all started during the pandemic when Frontiers asked me to write a song together involving multiple Frontiers artists. Michael and I got in touch about that and stayed in touch afterwards. I was surprised when he asked me to make a joint album where we would capture the melodic side of his singing and writing. We still couldn't fully restrain the power and fire that Michael has, but what we have achieved on 'Soul Inside' is something that truly reflects what an album with both of us would sound like: melodic, anthemic, and with deep and spiritual lyrical messages,' says Del Vecchio.

'One of the many cool things about working with Michael on this album was that he asked me to also play all the guitars on the album. It's something I never do, but he believed that I truly captured the essence of these songs. So here I am, playing the guitar parts I had in mind when I wrote these songs, for the first time. I feel very honored to work with Michael since we share the same love for great-sounding albums, and we are perfectionists who always deliver nothing less than 100%, and of course, always try to go beyond our limits. I'm sure that after listening to the album, you will be singing, humming, and whistling these songs while still being captivated by the performance of the vocals and music, where passion, fire, and depth have merged at the essence of these songs,' concludes Del Vecchio.
